Sport Club Defibrillator Campaign.

Apply now.

This campaign will help ensure that people taking part in sport across the South West are prepared and equipped to respond in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. Clubs without their own facilities or clubhouses are particularly vulnerable, as they often train and play at multiple venues, including remote locations. This project is designed to prioritise these clubs, with additional focus given to those operating in areas of known deprivation.

Campaign Aims

  • To provide a life saving ‘portable’ defibrillator to sports clubs that might not otherwise be prepared in the case of a sudden cardiac arrest.

  • To provide practical CPR and defib training to club members to ensure they are ready to save a life. Both adults and children will be invited to the training and every participant will work on their own CPR manikin, making the training accessible and fun.

  • To provide information and signpost attendees of training sessions to heart screening events taking place nearby in the future.

Criteria

Please ensure you can meet the criteria below before applying:

  • We will use the defibrillator across all age groups/teams at the club.

  • We understand that we are responsible for maintaining and providing replacement parts for the defibrillator.

  • We can provide a promotional photograph of the defibrillator once we receive it.

  • We will make the free training provided by Jay’s Aim available to all members of the club.
