We are launching our new free to use defibrillator loan scheme at the start of October 2020. The scheme allows sports clubs, schools, businesses and community groups to loan a defibrillator from Jay's AIM for any one off events that you may be running. The video below explains more:
Free to use for groups in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset, the scheme is designed to ensure the safety of participants at your event, whilst keeping the paperwork involved in the loan process as simple as possible for you.
Defibrillators can be collected from Bude, Plymouth or Newton Abbot or can be couriered to your organisation at a small cost. A large sign is also included with the loan of each defibrillator that can be displayed at your event to let participants know a defibrillator is available.
To request a defibrillator for your event please complete the online form (a minimum of 3 weeks in advance of the date of your event). A defibrillator will be loaned to you for a 5 day period and must be returned within this time period so that it can be used by other groups if needed on the following day. If a defibrillator is available you will receive an email from the Jay's AIM team which will include a short 'user guide video' and a 'terms and conditions' document that will need to be signed and completed. A fully refunded £100 deposit will need to be paid before the defibrillator is loaned.
Unless agreed with the Jay's AIM team, organisations can only loan a defibrillator twice in a calendar year. We would recommend purchasing a defibrillator if one is required more regularly.
